Is the AppleAirPort2 driver source code available?

No, it isn't.

Thanks for your response!. Is there any particular reason because of which the source code for the driver is not available?

In fact, i'm not particularly interested in the source code for the
driver, my real interest is in enabling the rfmon mode of my airport
extreme card. As part of my job, I use this feature of a wireless
card A LOT, and is a pitty that i cannot use my ibook and be forced tu
use another card/notebook for this purpose.

AirPort Extreme's use a chipset from Broadcom and Broadcom is fairly protective of their intellectual property...

Another difference is the Broadcom chipsets do much more in software and much less in firmware. This means more of their IP is in the source code for drivers for their cards...
