Especially since the Apple docs explictly tell you to never use /etc/mach_init.d:

But I'll take your word for it, and get rid of KUNCExecute() if I can

Sorry to be so clueless here, but could you point me at one of those
examples? I can't seem to find any, which obviously means I don't
know what I'm looking for. I've been looking at the plists in
/etc/mach_init.d/ and trying to find the strings corresponding to
individual services in the kernel. Eg, scsid, coreaudiod, etc.
