1394 protocols

Hi,

Would anyone have answers for the following?
a. What is an acceptable transaction response time for an AV/C async request (over 1394)?
b. Is there a way to get a faster response using the AV/C standard?
c. What other faster protocols are available over firewire? For USB, there are things such as control, interrupt, bulk and isochronous transfers. What equivalents exist for 1394?
