Hi all,
I've tested an ExpressCard on Power Mac G5, using ExpressCard Test Fixture Board/Slot (EC-TS, http://www.expresscard.org/web/site/testtools.jsp).
It seems that ExpressCard's hot-plug feature does not work in this environment.
I don't have any idea to enable it to work.
I'm developping an I/O Kit driver for the ExpressCard. Do I need to customize a part of IOPCI Family code?
I'd like to know how to enable hot-plug feature and, if I need to do, I'd like to know what software I have to develop except for above layer of IOPCI Family.
I hope someone help me.

I'm working on an ExpressCard device, and I'm seeing simliar behavior with an off-the-shelf PCIe to ExpressCard adapter. It only seems to work if our device is plugged into the adapter at boot. In fact, if I open IORegistryExplorer and insert/remove the device post-boot, I don't see anything changing in the registry, which would support the theory that hot-swap just isn't supported. In the MacBook Pro, I do get change notifications in IORegistryExplorer when inserting/removing the device.

Anyone know if any of these PCIe to ExpressCard adapters support hot swap?

Thanks,
Jim
