It should work. What are the permissions on the mach_kernel you write out. BootX is picky about that. It has to be root owned and not group or world writeable.--

I've tried using the ToT tools from the CVS archives and the instructions for rebuilding kernels under 10.1 as a starting point, but each attempt has ended with BootX unable to locate a valid kernel file and displaying the dreaded circle with a slash graphic.
Unfortunately, I was kinda hoping to test some stuff that would require having a kernel with debugging symbols in it.
