I want to know whether any event is generated when cron performs
scheduled job.
I know it mails to the user but apart from that any thing else it
does.
Any pointers on this will be helpful.
Not by default.
In fact, email is only generated if there is output from the process
cron runs
and stdout/stderr haven't been redirected.
