curl can't resolve host

Hi there,

I (a unix newbie) recently installed Darwin 602 on an imac I have. When I try to use curl to get files I get a 'couldn't resolve host error'. When I ping a host like www.studio9.cc it resolves and everything is groovy. I've tried setting up the network stuff manually following the Howto at http://www.opendarwin.org/documentation/network_config.php but it hasn't changed anything.

Anyone have any ideas?
