Well, it's and IBM x235 server, there are lots of uncommon peripherals
compared to the ones on the normal hardware for a desktop pc...

Darwin is very sensitive when it comes to chipsets and system features. Best results seem to be reported by standard PCs. And an IBM X 235, extensible to 12 GB Ram, is definitly not a standard pc.
