RE: Darwin-x86 Digest, Vol 2, Issue 28

Just as a side note ... I just got OpenDarwin v7.0.1 working in Virtual PC
2004 ... I'm working on moving the driver to v7.2.1 tonight. We'll see how
far I get.

I too found the kernel panic on booting Darwin v8.0.1 ... I'm not through
yet ... I might see what I can figure out. The OpenDarwin stuff is much
further along for general use ...

Well after wasting a couple of days on VMWare, I've given up as
well. There's something decidedly odd about the way that it emulate
disks that doesn't play nicely with darwin. Virtual PC is worse - it
dumps a debug error during boot.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to try and find some old hardware kicking
around that works.

Cheers,

Erik
