You likely have a system that does not support SSE2 instructions, and
therefore your hardware is not supported by Darwin 8.0.1

Hi!
I am trying to install 8.01 from CD as an upgrade to my 7.2.1 system.
But I have severe problems with that. Darwin 7.2.1 was no problem,
all hard drives were detected.
But Darwin 8.01 won't boot at all (waiting for root device). After
disabling ACPI the boot continues but I can not select a drive for
installation. It just hangs before that.
I thought I could boot into my Darwin 7.2.1 system, chroot to the
Darwin 8.01 CD and start the installation with /etc/rc.cdrom, but
chroot gives me an "unsupported" error (I have the exact error
message not at hand right now..).
What can I do to install Darwin 8.01?
Specifying root devices and disabling ACPI did not help so far....

Alex
