Terminal and proxy

Hi

In Mac OS X we can set a proxy to use the internet. But on Darwin when I use Terminal this don't work : the wget command fails. I'd like to know how to make it works. I think it is pure BSD configuration, but I don't know where to modify files ... so please help me.
