darwin-intel gdb support??

Hi,

I still trying to build gdb for Darwin-Intel and not getting very far.

I have been following the instructions as best I can found at
http://www.opensource.apple.com/projects/documentation/howto/html/Building_Da
rwin_HOWTO.html

I have downloaded from cvs, built and installed the following
dpkg
dpkg_scriptlib
buildtools
x86buildtools ( I dont know if I need this or not)

I have also checkedout gdb (the whole purpose of the exercise)

I have set DSTROOT to a harmless directory /Library/martin/dst. I dont fully
understand what src/in and src/out are for so they are set to harmless
directories as well. As far as I know, I have no existing packages of the deb
variety on my disk, as per explanation given for them in the HOWTO.

I then run as root "darwin-buildpackage --dir --target all ./osdev/gdb
./tmp/in ./tmp/out" after some activity
I will then get have it return with the error from Builder.pm line 678 unable
to find dependency for "developer-cmds". This is a deb file that is installed
when installing the OS.

I thought I'm not going to let this stop me so I commented out the whole
function and ran it again. Now this time is worked away for ages building
lists of files and creating extremly long directory names in /private/tmp and
finally looked like it was about to start compiling when it came back with
another error from Builder.pm at line 864 saying
chroot: make: no such file or directory

Ugghhh. Thats the story so far.

Regards

Martin
