Re: 'w' and 'uptime' stopped working



You could check the permissions on, or presence of, /var/run/utmp and /dev/kmem. The 'w' command should be owned by root/kmem, and be setgid.

Those are the only things I can think of. I'm running the same version of Darwin as your 'uname' reports, and I don't see the problem.
