ypbind problem

I'm having a problem getting ypbind to start at boot time. I've got
NISDOMAIN set in /etc/hostconfig and domainname does set set at boot
time, but ypbind isn't running when I login. If I start it by hand
after I get logged in, it works fine. If I run the DirectoryServices
script, ypbind starts. Has anyone gotten ypbind to start at boottime?

I have Mac OS X version 10.0.3 installed on a PowerBook.
