A quick note from the Apple open source core team:

The CVS read-only server at anoncvs.opensource.apple.com has experienced several days of difficulties with its CVS user account password file. Some of our automated processes were alternately deleting and re-creating this file inappropriately. The symptom was such that, depending on the timing of the client request, access to the repository would be denied with "no such user" failures.

This problem has been addressed and access should be fully restored.

Note: For new APSL registrations, the CVS server may take up to 15 minutes to sync up with the web server before the user ID is active for CVS access.
