Ref: UFS or HFS+... more efficient?

|- @12:06 PM -0700 on 6/20/01; [Ryan Dary] sent: (UFS or HFS+... more efficient?) following -->
I am wondering which file system is more efficient and which would be recommended to be used with Darwin/OS X?

Of course some may say that HFS+ has better Classic compatibility, but that is not what I mean. I strictly mean which file system will allow Mac OS X/Darwin to function optimally and why.

I'm really not an expert here, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but I would think that in the Unix universe, for efficiency, compatibility *is* the issue. Your decision then would rest on what you needed to be more compatible with - Mac (HFS+) or Unix (UFS).

Hope this helps.

Shalom!
Glen
