Re: deleting swap files



I think that the current approach is used because Apple figured it would
be easier for your average user. What would be handy is an option in the
hostconfig file, or elsewhere, whereby you could set specify a real swap
disk. Maybe something like 'SWAPDISK=-YES-' and the system would try
looking for a swap disk, either by label or by type, and in case of problems
default to the current approach.

Dynamic swapfiles are a pain in every OS that uses them because it often
leads to the "fault" or GPF for Win users.
