Yeah you are probably right, but I just can't see Apples current setup handling a heavy load. MaximumLinux.org runs on a 350Mhz PII with 128MB of RAM, and at times of extreme load it will have 120MB to 170MB in swap and that server just runs Apache for the site. The disk thrashes really bad but the system never crashes.

I do agree that it would be nice if they gave you the option to use a separate swap partition or disk. Maybe have an advanced mode or something in the installer.
