AFAIK, Darwin doesn't support a swap partition.

If this is the case, is there any swap partition code that exists
for BSD (which ever version), that could be ported to Darwin?

A swap file is a file like any other, and if the space is allocated
once the system is up and running, as opposed to install time, then
there is a high possibility of fragmented swap file.

BTW Is memory under Darwin open to fragmentation? If it is, a fragmented
file with fragmented memory is likely to cause huge performance hits.
