Umm.. I think this is true. I'm not sure what will happen if you try and
make the partition bigger... I've never tried that. It doesn't seem like
it would be that hard to change the size stored by the formatting tool. It
may be that running Norton's or TechTool or something afterwards would
help.

I've seen instructions to do this, and I may have done it myself. If I did
it, it was only temporary, though.

I'm actually thinking about decreasing the size (permanently) of my HFS+
Darwin partition so that I can add a UFS partition. If I do, I'll post
instructions somewhere...
