Xerces/Xalan C ? (was Re: Tomcat & Java)

ok. I think apple should have a clearer explanation about the contents of
that page :

Anyway, I'm going to get a head start with Unix, using Darwin, while i wait
for OSX for couple more months. Looks like I should be able to run apache,
postgreSQL, perl, php, & emacs ?

I was also looking at :
<http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/build-other.html>

I wonder if it would be possible to build Xerces C on Darwin.
