Can't mount images

Hi,
suddenly I can't use image files any more. Disk Copy checks and loads
(hdiutil) fine, but exits without mounting. Mount points are created but
empty except for a file ".automounted". Trying manually (mount
/dev/disk1) yields "incorrect superblock" or "device busy", depending on
the wheather. Rebooting didn't help, but starting OS9 and doing
everything there worked just fine...
