Switching from OS X to Darwin

Hello,

I've got a web server that I am operating on a dual 500mhz G4 under OS X
10.2.8. The server is remotely hosted (four hours away), and I would like to
get away from the CD-ROM method of OS upgrades.

Prior to setting up this server, I administered web servers on FreeBSD 4.x
for several years, so I'm comfortable at a "basic" admin level on the
command line with FreeBSD and OS X.

I'd like to make the switch to Darwin as the OS for my server ... I don't
really have a need for the OS X GUI, and I do most of the administration of
the server on the command line anyway, so I won't miss it too much on that
machine.

All that said, I would still appreciate a little hand-holding through the
process of switching, particularly since this is a live server. Moderate
traffic level, but live nonetheless. Downtime is okay for an upgrade, but
extended downtime is not going to be good.

Can anyone recommend a document that might be a helpful reference as I make
this switch? If not ... Any tips in general from someone who's made a
similar move?

TIA,

-Clay Loveless
