Hi; a simple question please...

I'm trying to wire my Darwin box to use the internet through DHCP with a static IP address.
How do I define a 'search domain' on Darwin 8.0?

I only hav MacOS X, but there you have the information stored in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist which configures the systems configuration database, accessible through scutil. This again generates the file /etc/resolv.conf:

hfmac79-155.uio.no# less /etc/resolv.conf
search uio.no
nameserver 129.240.2.3
nameserver 129.240.162.11

which is the traditional unix file for this.

I hope that narrows your search down a bit.
