While Michael's method does work (and it's well-written), for the record we recommend using a proper web plug-in to achieve this end. I don't want to throw anybody under the bus but in the event that some under-the-covers detail of widget plug-ins (initWithWebView et al) were to change, this technique may leave you in the cold. The key question should be what are you trying to access. If you want native, non-visual data/API services, write a widget plug-in. If you want native, visual services, write a web plug-in. The additional advantage of a web plug-in is that it could be used in Safari as well as Dashboard. Also have a look at the canvas extension provided by WebKit; it may be able to do what you need using "pure" _javascript_. Canvas of course is just a 2D renderer and I think the original question was re: OpenGL. md ---------------------------------------------- Matt Drance DTS Engineer Java - Dashboard - Address Book On Jun 10, 2005, at 1:52 PM, Michael Marmarou wrote:
