using macromedia flash in dashboard

Hello all, this is my first post to the dashboard list, so sorry if I do something wrong.

I'm am trying to develop a widget that has a flash game inside of it. I was able to get the flash movie to load and play with no problems,
however there seems to be a problem with giving focus to flash because it won't accept my keystrokes or mouse clicks.
I tried setting a control region to see if that would do the trick, however it didn't solve the issue.

I'm not sure if this is a limitation/feature of dashboard or if I am just doing something wrong.
any help would be great.
