How to refresh a widget's display?

I am working on a widget that is nearly complete but I have some issues. The widget pulls content from my website but not as an XML feed, it does a remote script pull of two .js files that contain only document.writes, rendering out HTML. So I am pulling HTML via .js files basically.

Every so often I need to re-pull these .js files that are being pulled in the SCRIPT SRC="..." tags.

Right now I record time on initial widget load, then every time the widget is displayed I take the time and see if x minutes have passed. If so, I do a window.location.reload(); to reload the widget. The thing is...after this happens, the smooth animation that normally works when you click the info button (flip) no longer works and I get an instant switch to the back of the widget.

Is there a better way to fully refresh the widget so I can have these in-line remote .js script pulls get re-called?

Thanks.
