I have had a number of bug reports all falling into the one category:
events are not firing. This can happen at "any" time, if it's the first
time the widget is launched then my widget shows a black screen, if it
happens after one screen has already been displayed then the screen will
seem dead. Screens are reloaded using a JavaScript function.
In either event, restarting the machine solves this. Restarting Dashboard
(killall -HUP Dock) does not always solve the problem.
Do the developers have any idea of why this may be? Why would event stop
firing? Sampling the PID of my widget shows it is running idle most of the
time and doing some selects the other small portion of time.
Any help appreciated, I'm running out of ideas here.
