parse error

ok I think i've had it trying to find this one:

I have taken the html output and checked it with http:// validator.w3.org/ for syntax errors

everything works, but the logs are filled with these from a lot of my widgets

Has anyone else had this? I had a suspicion that it was a control character but no gremlins anywhere.
