MUG lists are always a good place (just google for MUG or macintosh
users group).
First site to check when in trouble should be http:www.macfixit.com
or straight to the Apple support forums. (http://
discussions.info.apple.com/)
First site to check for news/tips/software should be http://
www.macworld.com/news/ (I loved MacCentral, but Macworld has done
well with it since they took over)
First site for obscure/arcane/wicked-cool stuff should be http://
www.macosxhints.com

Hi;
Sorry this is off-topic, but this group is the only link I have to
a mac-using community at the moment. I'm using a Mac Mini, which is
my first Mac, after 10 years of Windows use. I'm only Mac user in
my circle of friends and family, so when I get stuck, Google is my
only lifeline -- is there an official mailing list like this one
for asking Mac newbie questions?
Thanks for your time!
