Have you had her email you the widget? Perhaps for some reason her
machine is corrupting the download, which you might be able to see by
peeking inside the widget bundle.

Hello,
I have a user that is getting the following message: "The file
'VelaClock.wdgt' is not a valid widget and you cannot install it"
when double clicking on the unzipped widget. Older versions of
VelaClock work fine.
She says:
- the behavior is consistent across all machines (PowerMac G5,
Titanium Powerbook and 1.67 Mhz Aluminum Powerbook).
- has Mac OS X 10.4.7 and uses uses Safari for downloading (on all
machines).
- confirmed that the Dock was specified in the "Open with:" section
of the Get Info box.
- is able to successfully download and install other widgets from
apple.com.
I can't reproduce the behavior and no other users have reported a
similar issue. She's re-downloaded the widget a number of times and
I even emailed her a zipped copy.
Does anyone know what I should suggest? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chuck
P.S. See you at WWDC!
