setRequestHeader not working for User-Agent

I am trying to have my Widget append an identifier to the user agent. setRequestHeader does not appear to be doing the trick. If I change the string to X-User-Agent, it appears to get set fine, but whenever I try and set the User-Agent, I only get the default UA. I have used tcpflow and am seeing no change in the User-Agent header. Is Dashboard disallowing user agent modification for some reason? As far as I can tell from the standard, I should able to set my UA and have it appended to Dashboard's UA string.

Mike
