I had almost the exact same problem. It had to do with synchronously running widget.system(). From a recent post to this mailing list: "Please do not use the widget.system synchronously in a shipping widget. It is there just for development purposes. "

It seems that 10.4.7 changed the way widget.system() works in synchronous mode. The solution for this problem was to change all system calls to asynchronous.
