Re: Startup crash on intel?

Hello Han Ming,

It is version 76. Thinking about this, I remembered a similar crash in IPhoto (a kernel protection failure at CFRetain + 76), so I did some searching. The consensus on the IPhoto mailing lists is some kind of system corruption, so I reinstalled 10.4.8 using "archive and install" and all is working again.

I'll keep an eye on the applications and/or extensions I install from here on to see if anything seems to be the trigger for this crash.

1. Are you running the application from /Developer/Applications/ Dashcode.app ?

2. Can you tell me the output to this?

	- open Terminal
	- type this in

		%cat /Developer/Applications/Dashcode.app/Contents/Info.plist

	- at the end of the output, there should be something like this

	     <key>CFBundleVersion</key>
        	<string>76</string>

	The version should say '76'
