Agreed, you should use te Date() object.
All the macs under Mac os x are synchronised by the a Network Time Protocol (NTP) which is definitely more accurate than HTTP (it basically takes in consideration the network delays). So the time of your mac is way more accurate than any time that you could find on a webservice via HTTP.


Anyway, there is webservices to get the hour from Internet (http:// www.nanonull.com/TimeService/TimeService.asmx for example), but this is imho not precise enough.
