DRDevice info

In the disc recording frame work the is a method simply titled info that returns a dictionary.
when I:
NSDictionary * deviceInfo;
DRDevice * device;
deviceInfo =[device info];

i get a sigbus 10. Why? I know it is in the attempt to gather the dictionary with the last line because if I comment it out there are no errors.

Is it possible to gather the information or is this a private method we are not allowed to use?
