DR 'select panel' sees AIFC files - but not AIFF files (??)

Does anyone have any clues as to why the Objective-C DR sample code will allow selection of AIFC files and not AIFF files as candidates to be burned to a disc?

The arg passed to the selection panel for file types is 'nil' which would seem to suggest nothing would be filtered - at least at the level of the selection dialog - but, the AIFC files are allowed and the AIFF files are not.
