Burn Setup Dialog problems

I've added a pretty basic implementation of the disc recording frameworks to
my application, and I'm using the setup panel from DiscRecordingUI.framework
for setting up the burn. I noticed that the first time a burn is performed,
the "Allow additional burns" checkbox is active (but not checked). On
subsequent burns, the checkbox is inactive (you can't check it) until you hide
show the advanced properties. Is this a bug, or could it be something that
I'm doing wrong? I noticed this on 2 machines running 10.2.3 (didn't try it on
older systems), and with both my application and the sample DataBurn
application.
