Hello,
I am having problems erasing rewriteable DVD's via DRErase
on Leopard. The erase seems to proceed as normal (and reports itself as
complete after a minute or so) but any attempt to burn to the resulting disc
reports 'The disc is not writeable'. On investigation, 'drutil status'
does not report the disc as blank and this is clearly the problem. But if
I use 'drutil erase' to erase the disc, 'drutil status' *does* then report the
disc as blank.
I am confident that my code is correct because it is
extremely simple, it works for CD's, and it works for DVD's on Snow
Leopard. It looks like DRErase is omitting some vital step to truly blank
DVD media which drutil (and Disk Utility) know how to do. So the question
is: how can I do this in my own code? Does anybody know?
Thanks.
Paul Sanders.
