Re: Professional quality DVD

Hi Cyril,

It seems our friend from Dovecom is scaring people off using anything but
Heuris software encoders. Other encoders do work and can produce some good
results also. The biggest thing that will influence the quality of output
is your source material. But if your standards are very high, and you have
a budget big enough then a hardware decoder is the way to go. There have
been quite a few discussions on cards and encoders on this list. You should
be able to see those from the archives, or I am sure that people here will
be happy to provide their opinions and experiences.

If you are accessing the archives tis extract from a message from the list
moderator may help:
"For access to recent messages posted to the list, visit the web-archives.
To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the dvdlist
Archives. These archives are protected by a password, please use account
"archives", password "archives" to access them."

Regards,
Anthony
