No video compression was used apart from the final
MPEG-2 compression.

In the US most of the major studios use non-compressed
D1 and D5 source for DVD, others do use DigiBeta and
Ampex DCT which are compressed.

In Europe it's almost always DigiBeta, with a small
amount of D1 masters.
