A " Bug's Life" was almost certainly encoded using incredibly
expensive Variable Bit Rate hardware, hardware that would
undoubtedly seem outdated today. However, the reason why CGI
created movies look so sharp and colorful has little to do with
"encoding". The original film was a computer generated project
created pixel by pixel with absolute perfection.
