PAL to NTSC for DVD

Hi all.

I am currently producing a DVD10 (double sided-double layer) disc as a video
training medium for dentals and orthos.

Here in Australia, as we know most video equipment is in PAL format. I am
making this DVD for Aussies, as well as other markets that use NTSC such as
the US and Japan. My question is this... can I convert the existing PAL DV
files I have to NTSC DV files using the export in QuickTime player. I do
understand that the PAL and NTSC formats are different, but is it as easy as
this? Or should I get it professionally done from my (PAL) master MiniDV
tapes? And if so how do they do it?

I also understand that I must use separate sides of the DVD to use both PAL
and NTSC.
