Re: Unknown file type

An uncompressed QuickTime file does NOT add artifacts. Also, video and audio must
always be in separate streams to be imported into DVD Sp, or any other DVD
authoring program. MPEG-1 files are not necessarily multiplexed. They can be
elementary streams.

If you have multiplexed MPEG 1 or 2, You must De-Mux them before they can be used
in authoring. There are other issues such as max data rates, and GOP structure that
must also be taken into consideration.

Not every MPEG file you can stream or play on a computer can be used in a DVD,
without re-encoding.
