Did you ever discover whether or not the DVD-R general authoring discs work
on the Pioneer 7300? Have you tested on the 7200 and/or 7400?

Subject: Pioneer 7300D/DVD Studio Pro incompatible ?!?!

Tell me its not so - I've installed the superdrive 733 G4 with DVD
Studio Pro and have boxes of Apple DVD-R and Pioneer DVD-R 4.7 discs.
I've got a MAJOR job due out in two weeks involving use of 6 Pioneer
7300D players, synchronised, playing PAL media.

We've been using Media 100, Macintosh, Adobe suite and FCP since dot and
so are familiar with the early adopter icarus effect - but this time I
really can't afford to burn and crash!

Can anyone shed light on the reason why the DVD discs I've burnt in the
G4 are EJECTED by the 'industrial strength' Pioneer 7300, while they
play perfectly well in my iMacs and the G4s. I do note that the Pioneer
player does not appear on the DVD Studio Pro compatibility list but took
this to be because that table is primarily for 'home' users not
production houses.

The media we've burnt is simple - single video track, stereo audio -
that is ALL - no fancy anything..... The diagnostic from DVD-SP after
the 'burn' says the disc is fine - Any pointers ? Any solutions, more to
the point?
