Re: DVD Studio Pro and SSCRST settings

Hi

SSCRST type 0 = No encryption
SSCRST type 1 = Keys are supplied on the DLT and will be
encrypted during mastering
SSCRST type 2 = Data is already encrypted on the DLT
SSCRST type 3 = No keys are supplied on the DLT (WAMO
will supply keys that will be encrypted during mastering)
SSCRST type 4 = Encryption table determines which sectors
will be encrypted (WAMO will supply keys encrypted during
mastering)
SSCRST type 5 = Sectors tagged for encryption (WAMO will
supply keys encrypted during mastering)

I did set the disc to use CSS in DVDSP, so I assume I'm looking at type 1, 2 or 3.

in DVDSP you have "tagged" sectors for encryption (hence the 2054 sector size on DLT) and the options from 0-4 are not valid. WAMO is licensed for CSS and they have the keys. You don't.

Regards,
Boris
