I haven't tried the GM release with CACs yet but with build 425 I had the
same problem with the viewer application. It would prompt me for my pin but
would always indicate a failure and eventually crash. The CAC is supposed to
lock itself after three failed attempts so I wasn't comfortable doing a lot
of testing with it. Using the pkcs11 shlib would also crash Firefox a
majority of the time when logging into any sites with certificate
authentication from GES, Cert, AKO, to my local test VPN.

I submitted a bug to Apple a few weeks ago for this but I don't think it has
been touched; but hen there is all of the other Tiger instability we are all
running into here :).
