Note: Even though some of the techcon memos are numbered 2004-xxx, several have dates for 2005.

Subject: [Fed-Talk] Status of joining Army AD?

Does anyone have a status on Army NETCOM review of Tiger and subsequent (we sincerely hope) authorization to "join" an active directory?

My local folks have been kindly keeping me (and others) alive after migration to the Northeast Area; but they will soon have to shut down their subnet AD.

With all the new security, CAC services, and AD compatibility built into Tiger I am at a complete loss to understand the delay for an "OK".  Anybody really know what is seemingly giving Army the "fits"?  Or do I surmise that ""they"" "just don't want to do it."
