Extensive discussion on Slashdot, basically could mean anything including but not limited to wireless chips, bridge chips, etc., but not likely Potato Chips.

Not a very bright future. When NARA 2 was built (National Archives and Records Administration) they made all the PC's into thin clients, all applications and files exist on a bank of central Sun servers. The system is called ICASS, it was not very long before some user realized that that stood for "I Can't Access the Stupid System"

scenario goes something like this:

"Houston we have a problem"

"Sorry, Apollo, you're on your own, the central server is down"

Alternative scenario is DoD learns to build like the Borg and everything is decentralized, i.e. they took 75% damage and they keep coming. What ARPANET was meant to be.
