Re: [Fed-Talk] X509 Anchors/Certificates

X509 Certificates do not appear in my Keychain Access in the Keychains list either by default.

In the Edit/Keychain List and show Mac OS X (System) I see System (shared), X509Anchors, X509Certificates, but can't get X509Certificates to be added.

I just added X509Certificates to User and then they appear. Since my system was clean installed a month ago from 10.4.3 and user preferences were not imported I'd say that if you see them it's either an 10.3 carry over or there is a problem in the 10.4.3 DVDs or someone/something caused them to be added. I don't have a OS X 10.4.0 clean installed and updated system available to check.

Under X509Anchors I see only two DoD certificates. In X509Certificates I see 16 DoD certificates which I know I didn't have access to before because I had to manually add four of those to my login keychain to validate email and a web site previously.

Hi Doug,

Did you click the "Show Keychains" button (lower left corner)? That
should do the trick.

Subject: [Fed-Talk] X509 Anchors/Certificates

Okay, I'm sure this is a bonehead question, but what the heck.

If I open Keychain Access, I can see, under Keychains, login, System,
X509Anchors, but no X509Certificates. If I select Edit/Keychain List
and "show" Mac OSX(System), there is no X509Certificates in that list.

But, if I navigate in the finder to PAO/System/Library/Keychains, I
can see both X509Anchors and X509Certificates. Why doesn't my
X509Certificates show up in my Keychain Access program?

Thanks,

Doug
